David Friesen, CIM, AIF® Director, Wealth Management Portfolio Manager
David is the founder and leader of Friesen | Rebec & Associates. Over his nearly 17 year career in managing wealth, he has been committed to assisting high net worth individuals, trusts, estates, and businesses in the planning and management of their affairs. Prior to becoming a Director, Richardson GMP, he was a Vice President and Investment Advisor with CIBC Wood Gundy for 11 years. David began his career as a financial consultant with Richardson Greenshields Ltd.
Based upon Friesen | Rebec & Associates’ unique “Family CFO” role they play with their clients, in simplifying the complexities of overall wealth management, David has made presentations at national conferences to his industry peers throughout Canada. David also co-founded and led the Leadership Forum in Calgary.
David is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (or AIF®) which is a professional designation awarded by the Center of Fiduciary Studies.

Clinton W. Rebec, MBA, CIM Director, Wealth Management Portfolio Manager
Clinton joined Friesen | Rebec & Associates in April 2006. Clinton has built a profession in financial operations, business development, relationship marketing, and leadership management. Clinton’s prior position was as a foreign currency specialist in the area of risk management. Additionally, his background includes several management positions in the fields of aviation, natural resources and financial services. His direct roles include analysis and recommendation for strategic company direction; as well he is a leader in overseeing and managing financial and operational activities. His academic credentials include graduating from Athabasca University where he received a Masters Degree in Business Adminstration.

Shelby Glenn, B.Sc., FMA Associate Investment Advisor
Shelby Glenn joined Friesen | Rebec & Associates in 2004 and has over 8 years of
experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining The
Friesen Group she held positions at CIBC Wood Gundy, including an
Associate Investment Advisor and in a managerial role as Senior Branch
Administrator. Shelby graduated from the University of Calgary in
1994, earning an Honors Bachelors of Science degree. Currently, Shelby
is responsible for assisting in the review of client portfolios and is
also responsible for leading the change management process for The
Friesen Group.

Jacinth Carr Assistant
Jacinth joined the team in September 2008, as a seasoned professional in financial planning affairs. Jacinth’s background included management positions in early childhood education & development, as well as the financial services industry. She has 10 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Richardson GMP, she worked as a Financial Advisor at Desjardins Financial Securities Independent Network and Investments.

Charity Miller Assistant
Charity joined Friesen | Rebec & Associates in October 2009. Charity has more than 4 years of investment & life insurance service experience. Previous to joining our team, she was an Operations Coordinator for Investors Group. Additionally, she was an Office Manager with an MGA company, Ray Hansen & Associates Ltd, for life insurers and their agents.
